Beynali Suad Al Sabah Awards, Kuwait (2017)
Under the patronage of Suad Al-Sabah, the “Suad Al-Sabah Arab Artists Biennial 2017” awards ceremony brought together leading public figures, diplomats, and visual arts professionals from across the Arab world. The event featured an exhibition of works by 58 artists, reflecting diverse creative perspectives. In her address, Al-Sabah emphasized the power of art to transcend reality and inspire a more hopeful, imaginative world, highlighting the biennial’s role in fostering collaboration, creativity, and cultural dialogue.
Officials, including Abdulrasoul Salman and Hassan Kazem, underscored the initiative’s importance in promoting artistic excellence and strengthening the Arab art scene. The showcased works were praised for their originality and depth, while the biennial itself was recognized as a successful platform that encourages innovation, celebrates living artists, and enriches the region’s cultural landscape.
More than 58 artists from Kuwait and the Arab world have participated in this event, with Mohamad Azizeh having been nominated and awarded the prize. The event was also accompanied with a showcase of Mohamad Azizeh’s works, as well as a live painting session led by him.
